Bio
Chung-Chi Chen currently serves as a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, AIST, in Japan, where his work centers on financial opinion mining and the understanding and generation of financial documents. He has organized several notable events, including the FinNLP workshop series at IJCAI (2019-2023) and EMNLP (2022), the FinWeb workshop series at WWW (2019-2023), and the FinNum and FinArg shared task series at NTCIR (2018-2023). In addition, he has presented tutorials at AACL-2020 and EMNLP-2021. His academic achievements include winning the Merit Award in both the TAAI Thesis Award and ACLCLP Thesis Award competitions, as well as receiving an Honorable Mention in the 14th TSC Thesis Award. The College of EECS at NTU has also honored him with the Technology Innovation Award. In industry competitions, he has claimed first prizes in the Jih Sun FinTech Hackathon (2019) and the Standard Chartered FinTech competition (2018), as well as second prizes in the Startup Business Competition (2023), Jih Sun FinTech Hackathon (2018), and the E.SUN FHC FinTech Hackathon (2017). Furthermore, he has been awarded first prize (2021) and the interdisciplinary prize (2022) in the Legal-Tech Hackathon
